ABOUT ME

I am a British therapist and a mother of three, and I have lived and worked in a number of different cultural contexts — including the UK, Kenya, Hong Kong, and now the United States. These experiences have shaped how I understand people, families, and relationships, and have given me a strong appreciation for the ways personal difficulties are often influenced by wider systems, environments, and life transitions.

Before training as a therapist, I worked in business, government organisations, and charities. I have first-hand experience of high-pressure professional environments, the impact of chronic stress and burnout, and the feeling of being outwardly competent while inwardly struggling. These experiences continue to inform my clinical work, particularly with clients who are navigating work-life balance, identity shifts, and the emotional demands of modern life.

I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor, trained at Temple University, and I work integratively with adolescents and adults. My core approaches include Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (TF-CBT) and Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy (ESFT). I am especially interested in how early experiences, attachment patterns, and family dynamics shape adult relationships and emotional wellbeing.

In therapy, I aim to offer a space that feels emotionally safe, collaborative, and gently challenging, where reflection and practical change can sit alongside one another.
